Sumut does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything the app knows — your location, your prayer times, your settings — lives exclusively on your device.
Who we are
Sumut: Prayer Times is an iOS application. This policy describes how we handle information in connection with your use of the app.

Information we do not collect
Sumut is designed from the ground up to be a zero-data app. We operate no servers, maintain no user accounts, and receive no information from your device.

How the app uses your location
Sumut may request access to your device's GPS to automatically determine your city and calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. This is entirely optional — you can also enter your location manually.
Your GPS coordinates are used only on your device, in real time, to perform the calculation. They are never stored beyond the current session and never transmitted anywhere.

Local notifications
Sumut can send prayer time alerts as local notifications — reminders scheduled directly on your iPhone using iOS's notification system. No notification content, delivery receipts, or timing data is sent to us or any third party.
You can enable or disable notifications at any time in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Prayers.
Third-party services
Sumut integrates no third-party analytics, advertising, crash SDKs, or social login services. The app makes no network requests of its own.
All prayer time calculations are performed offline using Adhan Swift (open-source, embedded in the app). Moon phase calculations use SwiftAA. No external API is called at runtime.

Apple's privacy practices are governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
Children's privacy
Because Sumut collects no personal data, it presents no additional privacy risk to users of any age. The app does not require parental consent under COPPA, GDPR-K, or similar regulations, as no data is gathered.
Your rights & data deletion
Because all data stays on your device and we hold none of it, you are in full control.

There is nothing to request from us because we hold nothing. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data immediately and permanently.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change our data practices — for example, if a future version introduces a feature requiring network access — we will update this page with a new effective date and describe what changed.
Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
